The Skylight Youth Ministry
The Youth Ministry of First Church, The Skylight, is committed to helping youth in sixth through twelfth grade experience the love of Christ and learn how to share that love with the world. Led by Youth Director Justin Cox, the Skylight provides a way for youth to develop their faith in God and build relationships with other Christian youth and adults.

Introducing our Summer Interns!
We have hired our two summer interns for this year! Both are extremely excited to be joining our team this summer. But instead of me introducing them, let me let them introduce themselves:
Middle School Summer Intern: Camille Layton
I am Camille Layton and I am thrilled to be the newest middle school intern for the youth group this summer! I am so excited to put all my energy into investing in our youth group and making summer 2013 one to remember! I am going into my junior year at Florida State University and I am studying Social Work. I graduated from Boone High School in 2011 and have been a member of the First Church Youth Group since my junior year. Last summer I served in the community of Tuskegee, AL with Alabama Rural Ministry as a construction coordinator and site leader. After meeting so many wonderful people in Alabama, I decided it was time to come home and serve the folk there! I know the youth will keep me very busy and on my toes and I am looking forward to meeting them and having a summer to remember!
High School Summer Intern: Wesley Anderson
I am a senior at Florida State University pursuing a bachelors degree in Marketing and I will be graduating in the spring of 2014! I was born and raised in Winter Park, Florida and I attended First United Methodist Church of Winter Park. I spent the past two summers working as a team member at Warren W. Willis United Methodist Camp, where I found that I love working with students! My favorite hobbies include fishing, playing guitar, golfing, and of course mission trips. I am so excited to start the summer working with the students at First United Methodist Church of Orlando!
