Peace Pole Dedication

Thank you to the Thursday Morning Women’s Bible Study for their efforts in commissioning the Peace Pole at First Church and to Harlan Hanson for designing the landscaping and Path to Peace.

The seven-foot structure featuring the words “May Peace Prevail on Earth” in seven languages was dedicated on Monday, June 12 at 9:30 am in front of the Sanctuary.

This was one of the many ways in which First Church responded to the first anniversary of the Pulse tragedy beginning with the Interfaith service on June 6, a Vigil in Remembrance on June 10, and providing respite for the victims’ families during the tolling of the bells at noon on June 12.
