Children’s Ministries

The Children’s Ministry of First Church guides children through fifth grade to seek and love God and love and serve people. Our Children’s Ministry creates ways for children to know and accept the love of Christ. Led by the Minister of Children, Youth, and Families, Justin Cox, and the Assistant Director of Children’s Ministry, Yameley Bouquet.

Weekly Opportunities

Sunday Mornings

9:00 am – 12:30 pm: Nursery Age Childcare
Childcare is available during all morning worship services at the end of the Children’s Ministry Wing hallway on the second floor. Childcare is led and coordinated by Yameley Bouquet. All children in our care are not only loved and kept safe but are also participating in activities to nurture their spiritual growth.

Please note the first time children come to our nursery or for childcare at times other than worship services, a Childcare Request Form must be completed and turned in at or prior to drop-off.

9:30 am: Pre-K and Elementary Sunday School
Pre-school and elementary Sunday School begins at 9:30 am in the Contemporary Worship Service on the second floor. We sing and worship before children head to their groups for engaging activities in the Children’s Ministry wing of the building, right next door to the Contemporary Worship Service.

10:45 am: IGNITE! Children’s Worship Arts (Launches September 8)
IGNITE! is led by Gabrielle Toledo. Students in PK4 – 7th grade are invited to learn how to worship through the arts while creating opportunities to enhance our worship services. We’ll focus on growing their natural gifts to glorify God and leading others to do the same. IGNITE! includes music, theater, and dance.

Thursday Mornings

11:00 am – 12:00 pm: Mommy and Me
Our goal is to encourage interaction and development for little ones 0 to 24 months while creating space for building friendships with other Moms. Moms are welcome to feed comfortably without judgment. We will support one another on the joys and challenges of Motherhood. In the program, there are three groups. There are Non-Mobiles, Crawlers, and Walkers. Visit our Facebook page.
