Worship Arts


First United Methodist Church of Orlando offers a variety of worship arts opportunities for people of all ages. A description of each is below. For more information about any of these opportunities, please contact us and we will connect you with a representative from each group.



Chancel Choir, Wednesdays at 7:00 pm - A Reconciling Community | Choir Room

The Chancel Choir sings weekly during the 11:00 am worship hour. This Choir sings challenging compositions that represent the music of all historical periods, but especially music from the serious contemporary genre. Rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 pm. Membership in the Chancel Choir is open to all adults. Interested singers are invited to contact, Jason Locker, Director of Traditional Worship.


Seasonal Concert Choir | Sundays at 6:00 pm | Beginning October 13, 2024 | Choir Room

The Concert Choir is a seasonal, non-auditioned group comprised of professional and amateur singers, members of the Chancel Choir, and instrumentalists. The Concert Choir performs masterworks from classical music to festive concerts, particularly our Good Friday Tenebrae service and Christmas concert. All interested singers are invited to contact us.




Modern Worship Team, Thursdays at 6:30 pm | Contemporary Worship Center

The Modern Worship Team is a group of talented vocalists and instrumentalists who lead the music portions of Modern Worship at 9:30 am each week. This group rehearses on Thursday evenings at 

6:30 pm and meets before worship on Sunday mornings at 8:00 am. If you sing or play an instrument and would like to join this ministry, please contact Aaron W. Penfield, Director of Modern Worship.


Wesley Ringers, Wednesdays at 5:30 pm | Room 204


Wesley Ringers is an adult five-octave bell and chime choir that rings challenging music for the

11:00 am service on the second Sunday of each month and other special occasions. The Wesley Ringers rehearse on Wednesday evenings at 5:30 pm. For information, please contact us.
